Sun-Netscape Allianceは20日、Eコマースやエクストラネットにおけるアカウントの集中管理を実現する統合ソリューション製品「iPlanet Unified User Management Suite」を10月に出荷すると発表した。顧客やサプライヤーのプロフィール、アクセスポリシー、セキュリティ設定などを1カ所でコントロールできる。
iPlanet Unified User Management Suiteでは、核となる「iPlanet Directory Server」に、公開鍵によるユーザー認証機能を提供する「iPlanet Certificate Management System」、複数のディレクトリーやデータベースにまたがるユーザー情報をまとめて更新する「iPlanet Meta-Directory」、顧客自身によるアカウント管理機能を提供する「iPlanet Delegated Administrator」、Netegrity社のアクセスポリシー管理ソフト「SiteMinder」という4製品がバンドルされている。なお、SiteMinderは、iPlanetに含まれる製品としては現時点で唯一の他社ベンダー製品。パーソナライズサービスや、1回のサインオンで複数のサービスやアプリケーションにアクセスできる環境を顧客に提供できる。
